I’ve been using the black NYX Jumbo Pencil for work quite a lot lately. It’s ace and I’m a bit hooked! It’s super greasy, blends brilliantly and creates a fantastic base. I want to try it in other colours asap! To wear it on its own could be troublesome if you don’t like a greasy, creased look. That will definitely happen with this. However, underneath shadows it works like a dream. It gives depth to powders that don’t give enough payoff, it helps me to blend shadows that are too loose and fly away, it makes colours shout out with intensity without necessarily making them loads darker.
Technique-wise I just slap a bit down on the mobile lid. Not too much, now. Then I use a fluffy brush to make sure it’s evenly distributed and the edges are blended out. Once it’s down I can start layering powders and pigments over the top. It’s a godsend. Quick, easy, effective. Exactly what an artist wants out of a product.
Get yours here.
Kisses,
